Hydrocarbon Hotel plant and L-jetty
July 2010 Voorbij Funderingstechniek started the installation of 134 precast concrete piles and 3.800 HSP-piles for the oil and gastanks of the Hydrocarbon Hotel B.V. This is the first project where Voorbij applied High Speed Piles for the foundation of oil and gastanks. Voorbij also installed 44 precast concrete piles and 11 large diameter open tubular piles for the L-jetty of the terminal.

Voorbij Funderingstechniek was awarded a contract by Van Oord Nederland B.V. for the piling work for approximately 600 metres of combi piling, anchored with MV-piles. The above is part of the implementation of the ‘MvO-OBM quay wall and dock’ project in Moerdijk harbour on the Hollands Diep near Moerdijk business park’s eastern ring road.

Second Coen Tunnel
At a ceremony at the A10 West on Monday, 7 September 2009, Dutch transport minister Camiel Eurlings gave the official green light for the construction of the second Coen Tunnel. Coen Tunnel number two is now to be made in the old casting basin for number one. More than 1,500 vibro combi piles, 500 precast concrete piles and 600 metres of sheet piling constitute Voorbij Funderingstechniek’s contribution to the second Coen Tunnel.

Voorbij Funderingstechniek started a quay wall construction in 2008 at the Autriche dock in Terneuzen. The project was situated to the east of the canal from Ghent to Terneuzen, and was for an extension of the existing quay in the Autriche dock in Terneuzen.

Scaldia Harbour quay wall, phase 2
TBI company Haverkort Voormolen took responsibility in February 2008 for the ‘Scaldia 2’ project. This project involves approximately 1,700 metres of marine quay construction in Flushing East harbour in Borsele. Some 1,200 metres of quay will be used for container handling, and another 500 metres for break bulk handling.

Balgzand Bacton pipeline (BBL)
In 2006 Voorbij Funderingstechniek constructed and later dismantled a cofferdam for the landfall of a pipeline from Great Britain, as part of the BBL project. This project involves laying 235 kms of gas pipeline between Bacton (UK) and Balgzand (NL) on behalf of BBL Company (which includes Gasunie).

Van Oord Offshore approached Voorbij Funderingstechniek in the summer of 2004 to discuss a cofferdam construction in Sakhalin. This 150-metre temporary construction in the sea was used in the landfall of an oil pipeline from undersea wells.
