First HSP project in Sweden
Maandag, 06 Oktober 2008 back to overview
An international breakthrough for the HSP product; after ‘surveying’ our neighbouring countries, Belgium and Germany, we now have our first project in Sweden.
The Swedish government’s 2004 Defence Decree calls for a fundamental change in the army’s structure. The project involves a transformation from what are now called ‘invasion forces’ to more modern ‘operational forces’. This implies greater demands on the monitoring of how military equipment is stored, handled and distributed. The new central military stores (FMCL) for soldiers’ personal equipment in Arboga is part of this change process. Several smaller distribution centres are to be dismantled.
Voorbij Funderingstechniek was approached in late 2007 to supply the bearing capacity in the form van HSP piles for part of the 40,000 m2 complex. Industrial floors on an HSP foundation are now generally accepted in the Netherlands, and have a reputation for reliability, economy and convenience in planning. The successful execution of this project in the summer of 2008 has paved the way for a bright future for HSP in Sweden.
