Cofferdam construction for Nord Stream Project

Boskalis Rhode Nilsson JV awarded Voorbij Funderingstechniek a contract for the construction and later dismantling of a cofferdam for the Nord Stream gas pipeline landfall in Greifswald, Germany. The gas pipeline will be 1.220 km long and it will transport 55 billion m3 gas a year from Vyborg in Russia to Greifswald in Germany.

Voorbij Funderingstechniek started the construction in April 2010. The cofferdam including wings are 700 meters long. The last sheet pile off the cofferdam was installed on 21 June 2010. After the pipe pull is done by Boskalis, Voorbij Funderingstechniek will start to dismantle the cofferdam construction.
In October the dismantling is finished.
