Foundation of Voorbij’s Beton by Cor Voorbij. Field of work: steel reinforcement work

1940:

Start of wooden piling work with ‘ancient Dutch piling rig’

1958:

Start of production of traditional reinforced concrete piles in an on-site plant at Johan Huizingalaan in Amsterdam.

1968:

Relocation of the concrete plant to the south bank of the river IJ in Amsterdam

1979:

Second generation of the Voorbij family enters management

1988:

Voorbij’s Beton is renamed Voorbij Groep, with Voorbij Funderingstechniek as an operating company

1988:

Start of production of prestressed piles in ‘langebank’ system and of walls in carousel

1996:

Voorbij Groep joins TBI Holdings.

1998:

Heibedrijf Henk Hylkema of Kampen joins Voorbij Groep

2004:

Relocation of Voorbij Groep to new head office in Amsterdam’s Westelijk Havengebied

2008:

Voorbij Groep demerger, prompted by the need for efficient management and differences between the process-driven prestressed concrete operations and the project-driven foundation engineering and concrete system operations. The Voorbij companies have remained at the same location and operate in partnership when appropriate.
Voorbij Funderingstechniek joins TBI Infra.
